My name is Holly. I am not qualified to share my thoughts online with any air of authority, but that does not seem to have stopped anyone else from doing it. Thus, in 2023 – at least a decade too late – I decided it was time to blog.
Limehouse Blues is a digital filing cabinet for the ideas cycling through my head. I can’t seem to shake them, so I am sharing them with you. The name is a sheepish nod to blues guitar music, of which I am an admirer. It also references a dockside neighbourhood in East London, which has been collecting residents from across the world for centuries. It is a fascinating place, and I thought it sounded pretty.
This web address will offer you vague opinions on places, time periods, music, art and culture. I am a very amateur iPhone photographer, so my posts are usually accompanied by my low resolution snaps. I also intend to share work based on more in-depth research, alongside some fictional writing.
Thank you for taking some time to wander into the blue with me.
Have a lovely day.
